Port police order for coaches stopping at Goliathplatz to pick up or bring back the passengers of the passenger ships

On the basis of § 3 of the ordinance of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on ports, loading and unloading areas – Port Ordinance (Hafen VO) – of January 10, 1983, the Port Authority of Mannheim issues the following:

There is a general no-stopping ban on Golitathplatz (open space between Rheinvorlandstraße 7 and Rheinkaistraße 1). Buses that pick up or return passengers of the passenger ships docked at the Rheinkai may exceptionally and without legal entitlement to stop at Goliathplatz or park for a short time. The driver must stay near the bus. The track areas are to be kept clear in the entire clearance profile.

To prevent air pollution, it is forbidden to let vehicle engines run unnecessarily. The operation of the air conditioning system is rated as unnecessary operation.

The order is valid until revoked.

Violations of this order constitute an administrative offense and can be punished with a fine (§§ 5, 71 HafenVO).
